Resources for Students

Entering and navigating new cultural and academic environments introduces unique challenges for international students, but a variety of programs and resources are available to support students as they transition and settle into life at Notre Dame.

Support

International Student Support Group

International students are invited to join a support group that will help address cultural, career, educational, relational and financial concerns that are unique to international students at Notre Dame. Contact the UCC at 631-7336, if interested.

McDonald Center for Student Well-being

The McDonald Center for Student Well-Being strategically assesses the environment and creates structures for wellness enhancement and risk reduction. Using evidence-based practices and collaborating with a range of campus partners, we work collectively to provide initiatives, services, and resources that support the eight dimensions of well-being. Students can find more information about their many resources here.

Care and Wellness Consultants

Care and Wellness Consultants care about the health and well-being of Notre Dame students and coordinate to provide support to students who are experiencing stressful or difficult situations. There is no concern or problem too small or insignificant. To find help overcoming barriers, navigating the University system, and getting connected to resources. Students can find more information here.

Reconnect with International Ambassadors (Undergraduates)

International Ambassadors are current undergraduate international students who serve as ISSA's student welcome and leadership team. Students will have the opportunity to meet and engage with our International Ambassadors before their arrival and at Orientation. In the fall students will have the opportunity to share a meal and reconnect with International Ambassadors.

Dinner with Graduate & Professional Students

ISSA hosts meals at the dining halls for first year graduate and professional students to meet other new students. Invites go out each semester to eligible students.
