Majors: Sociology and Pre-Health (Supplemental)
Clubs / Extracurricular Activities: Asian American Association, Korean Students Association, Japan Club, Peer Mentor, Peer tutor, and Korean Language School teacher at local church
Hi guys, I am Yoo Lim Kim and I am a rising sophomore majoring in Sociology and supplementary major in Pre-Health. I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Notre Dame Fall 2018. Living in Notre Dame is my very first experience living abroad, and it undoubtedly allowed me to grow both intellectually and spiritually. I have a broad interest in achieving common good and social welfare (which ultimately led me to Notre Dame.) I am also interested in cooking/baking/watching movies, so if you need someone to do any of these please don’t hesitate to reach me out. I am involved in multicultural clubs and variety of service opportunities both on and off campus, and you might see me working at DeBartolo and CSLC. I am looking forward to meet you all and hear your unique stories coming to Notre Dame!
Favorite ND Moment
I love spending tranquil time at Grotto and enjoy cooking different cuisines with my friends.
Advice for Incoming International Students
Don’t hesitate to reach out to other international students, domestic students, upperclassmen, and generally just any resources that might help you. Notre Dame has a great student support system and Notre Dame students (mostly) are willing to help one another. I want you to utilize all these resources that are available for you!
