Majors: Computer Science and Industrial Design
Clubs / Extracurricular Activities: National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, African Student Association, and Girls who code Student Association

Hi! My name is Hind Zahour, and I am a senior (5th year) pursuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Industrial Design. I am originally from Casablanca, Morocco. Before attending Notre Dame, I studied abroad in South Africa for 2 years. I used to live in Walsh Hall but now I am off campus. Throughout my Notre Dame journey, I have been involved in different clubs and societies. African Student Association (ASA) is definitely the one that made me feel the most at home under the dome. I love taking part in the different events, activities and meetings  that the ASA holds and getting to know students. Being ND means different things to different people. To me, being ND is not understanding football but attending the games and chanting anytime points are added to the scoreboard. It's strangers smiling at you. It's friends who become family. It's going to the grotto at random times and feeling a sense of peace. It's a community that slowly becomes home.

Favorite ND Moment

My favorite moment at Notre Dame was the ND/Clemson game. It was a magical moment to witness ND winning a game in our own stadium and during a difficult semester.

Advice for Incoming International Students

My advice is to allow yourself the time to adjust and to "be you" in a new environment. Get out there, try out new things and meet new people. Always remember where you come from, how you got here and why you're here. Welcome to ND and go Irish!
