ISSA Info Blitz: Understanding Grants & Fellowships

-

Location: 104 Bond Hall

In this interactive workshop, developed particularly with International and English as a second language graduate students in mind, we will help you identify several major awards for non-US citizens, explore funding search techniques, provide strategies for securing grants, and develop the key writing skills you will need to craft competitive grant and fellowship applications. Focusing on fundamental principles of grant writing such as directness, active language, and avoiding jargon, we'll address common sources of frustration with the writing process and provide self-editing strategies that will help you in current and future projects.

Participants will leave this workshop with essential grant writing tips and strategies, as well as a knowledge of useful resources at Notre Dame and beyond. If you are an F-1 or J-1 visa holder, undocumented person, or a US permanent resident looking for funding, join us for this presentation, followed by a Q&A session.

Dinner provided.
