German Research Foundation (DFG): Introduction to Structure, Programs, and International Collaboration

This lecture will be presented by Dr. Eva-Maria Streier, director of the German Research Foundation’s New York office. Reception to Follow. 



Holding a Ph.D. in American Literature, Dr. Streier is a trained journalist. Prior to taking the position as director of DFG’s New York Office in October 2011, she was Head of the Press and Public Relations Department of the German Research Foundation (DFG) in Bonn and Berlin. She joined DFG in 1985. 



The DFG is a private research funding organization based in Berlin, Germany, that supports science and research by providing sustainable support for young researchers, advancing the inter-disciplinarization of the sciences and humanities, and supporting networking in the field of research.
