Spring 2007 Meeting and Events Calendar
Our membership includes women who represent a wide spectrum of professions, talents and skills, women who are doctors, dentists, architects, graphic artists, accountants, actuaries, teachers, scientists, musicians, librarians, flight attendants, attorneys and judges.
As the spouse of an international student or scholar, you may sometimes be discouraged that your partner is busy with studies and long hours of research. You may experience frustration and a sense of isolation, especially if English is not your native language, or you have deferred your own education or career goals in order to accompany your spouse.
Yet, even with a limited knowledge of English, it is possible to enter into the life of the community and find activities that will:
- provide opportunities to meet interesting people and make new friends
- enhance your cultural understanding
- support your educational and professional goals
- improve your language skill
The International Women’s Club is open to all University of Notre Dame staff, students, visiting scholars and spouses. Community members of the Family Friendship Program are also welcome!
You are also encouraged to participate in the many programs and activities offered through the International Student Services and Activities Office and other departments of the University. Send us a note with your questions and comments about how we can better support you during your stay here.
