Class Levels & Meeting Times

There are three levels in the ESL class: Emerging, Developing, Expanding

Mr. Jerry Ziliak is the instructor of the Emerging Level. This level is for those newly arrived spouses who want instruction with fundamental English vocabulary and pronunciation, basic English conversation, and oral comprehension.

Dr. Beverly R. Wills is the instructor of the Developing Level. This level is for those students who want to expand their present knowledge of vocabulary, increase written and speaking skills, and work on accent reduction. Interactive dialog exercises are used to build conversational fluency. A culture book has been compiled to help the new arrivals understand the American way of life.

Mrs. Ann S. Germano is the instructor of the Expanding Level. This level is for those students who have a good command of English language skills but wish to express themselves more fluently and spontaneously on a wide range of topics. There is a concentration on vocabulary building and literature. The students also have the opportunity to do extensive creative writing with class assignments and publications.
