Responding to Natural Disasters and Crises in Your Home Country

Many international students and scholars experience a sense of helplessness after learning about a disaster in their home country. The University of Notre Dame is fortunate, however, to have on its campus the Center for Social Concerns which serves both the local and extended community by coordinating programs and initiatives that facilitate greater awareness of social issues and responsive action.

In those instances when you seek monetary or material relief for victims of a natural disaster in your home country, the Center for Social Concerns will assist you.

The Center for Social Concerns will contact campus departments and local agencies to coordinate a response and determine which organizations might best serve as a conduit for both monetary and material donations.

For more information, please contact the CSC at 631-5293, or write James.Paladino.1@nd.edu

In the event of a disaster where you are unable to reach your family or friends at home, you are welcome to come to the ISSA to seek assistance in making contact.
